Connect Authorize.net

I. Purpose

To enable the restaurant to accept credit card payments by connecting Authorize.net with botX.

II. Instruction Steps

Step 1: Create an Authorize.net Account

1. Go to https://logintest.authorize.net/

2. Complete the registration form to become an Authorize.net partner.

After creating an Authorize.net account, log in to retrieve the Account Information needed to connect with botX.

Step 2: Get API Credentials from Authorize.net

1. Click REQUEST PIN and enter the PIN sent to your email.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Select API Credentials & Keys.

4. Copy the API Login ID.

   Note: Paste it into Word or WordPad to save it safely.

5. Check New Transaction Key and click Submit.

6. Click Request PIN again if prompted.

7. Click Copy to Clipboard, then click Continue.

   Note: Paste and save the Transaction Key as well.

Step 3: Connect Authorize.net to botX

1. On the botX management page, go to Integrations and click Connect.

2. Select Account information.

3. Paste:

   • API Login ID

   • Transaction Key

4. Under Payment Method, the system will automatically display Credit Card (this cannot be edited).

5. Click Connect.

Notes

• If the restaurant disconnects and reconnects Authorize.net:

  • The system will reuse the API Login ID from the first connection.

  • A new Transaction Key will be generated automatically.

• If there are pending orders (PC or Online Ordering) using Authorize.net that have not been paid yet:

  • Disconnecting Authorize.net will display the warning:
    “Payment method is not available. Please choose another payment method.”
