This feature allows the cashier to record a customer’s request to cancel items in both cases:
Items not yet sent to the kitchen/bar
Items already sent to the kitchen/bar
Select the item to cancel.
Click the Delete (trash) icon to remove the item from the order.
Open the order that contains the item to be canceled.
Select Cancel item.
Enter the quantity to cancel and the reason for cancellation.
Click Yes, Cancel it.
The canceled item will be displayed on the order with a canceled status.
If some portions have already been served, only the unserved quantity can be canceled.
If all portions have already been served, the item cannot be canceled.
Items that are part of a combo or items prepared from inventory materials cannot be canceled.
You can also cancel items from the Table Layout screen:
Tap the customer’s table.
Click the Delete (trash) icon to remove the item from the order.
Roles authorized to approve item cancellations include:
Restaurant Manager
System Administrator
