Cancelling items

Cancel Items

I. Purpose

This feature allows the cashier to record a customer’s request to cancel items in both cases:


II. Scenarios

1. Order has not been sent to the kitchen/bar

2. Order has been sent to the kitchen/bar


III. Notes

  1. If some portions have already been served, only the unserved quantity can be canceled.

  2. If all portions have already been served, the item cannot be canceled.

  3. Items that are part of a combo or items prepared from inventory materials cannot be canceled.

  4. You can also cancel items from the Table Layout screen:

    • Tap the customer’s table.

    • Click the Delete (trash) icon to remove the item from the order.

  5. Roles authorized to approve item cancellations include:

    • Restaurant Manager

    • System Administrator
