Set Up Item Routing on KDS

I. Purpose

For restaurants with multiple kitchen stations, this feature allows items to be routed between stations so each station handles different preparation steps or menu items using the botX KDS.

II. Instruction Steps

1. On the Management Page

1. Go to System Settings → Location Settings.

2. In the Purchase/Sale tab, enable Multiple stations if your restaurant has more than one kitchen station.

   • The system creates default stations named Station 1 and Station 2.

3. Rename the stations to match your actual kitchen departments for easier management.

2. On the KDS

1. On the KDS, tap Settings.

2. Configure Routing based on your kitchen workflow:

Case 1: Route items for further preparation at Station 2

• Select Mark as “Ready” at Station 2 if items need additional preparation at Station 2 after being completed at the current station.

Result:

• When an item is finished at Station 1, it will appear as Ready at Station 2.

• To focus only on items needing action, enable Show Ready Items Only.

• After finishing preparation, tap the item to complete it.

Case 2: Route items directly for serving at Station 2

• Select Mark as “Completed” at Station 2 if Station 2 will serve the item directly without further preparation.

Result:

• When an item is completed at Station 1, it will automatically be marked as Completed at Station 2.

• No additional action is required at Station 2.
