Connect POS to Cash Drawer

I. PURPOSE

Allow cashiers to use the cash drawer when receiving and dispensing cash payments.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

1. Set up the cash drawer with POS

1. Open the POS application on your device.

2. From the navigation menu, go to Settings > General Settings.

3. Enable Open drawer upon collecting payment by cash.

4. Click Open drawer.

   • A PIN code entry screen will appear for quick authorization.

2. Payment

1. Create an order.

2. On the payment screen, select Cash as the payment method.

3. Click Pay.

   • The connected cash drawer will automatically open after payment.

III. NOTES

1. Cash Refunds

   • If the user has Cash Drawer permission:
     Confirming the refund will automatically open the cash drawer.

   • If the user does not have Cash Drawer permission:
     The system will allow the refund, but the drawer will not open.

2. Opening the cash drawer is not supported when adding tips.

3. If a user without Cash Drawer permission attempts to open the drawer, the system will display a quick login PIN entry screen.
