Creating Modifier Category

I. PURPOSE

Create modifier groups to help restaurant staff save time when selecting customer requests during order entry.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

To add a serving preference group, follow these steps:

1. Go to Menu -> Modifiers

2. Click Add

3. Enter the serving preference group information

ADDITIONAL SETTINGS FOR SERVING PREFERENCE GROUPS

Restaurants can apply the following conditions to a serving preference group:

Case 1: Enable Multi Select

When Multi Select is enabled, the system displays Min and Max options, allowing managers to define how many modifiers can be selected.

Notes:

• Min is optional and does not need to be filled in.

• Max is required and must be greater than or equal to the number of available modifiers.

• If No max value is selected:

  • The Max field is hidden

  • The system automatically allows the maximum number of selections equal to the total modifiers in the group

• The Max value will automatically update if modifiers are added or removed from the group.

Case 2: Enable Multi Select and Required

• The system defaults Min = 1 and Max = 1

• Managers can adjust these values if needed

• At least one modifier must be selected from the group

Case 3: Disable Multi Select but Enable Required

• The system requires exactly one serving modifier to be selected

• Min = 1

• Max equals the total number of available modifiers in the group

• The Max value updates automatically when modifiers are added or removed
