Add Items with Variants

I. PURPOSE

Help restaurants quickly set up menu items with different sizes, flavors, or prices, such as small/medium/large or multiple flavor options.

II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

To add an item with variants, follow these steps:

Step 1

Go to Menu > Items.

Step 2

Click Add, then select Items with variants.
Enter the item details in the General Information tab.

To manage item availability, go to Item tracking:

• Select Available

• Choose one of the following options:

  • Manually manage availability

  • Automatically manage availability

NOTES

• The item description appears on the order screen to help servers explain the item to customers.

• If Hide from menu is selected, the item will not appear on the POS sales screen.

• For best image quality, item photos should use a 4:3 aspect ratio

  • Example: 1280 × 720 pixels

Step 3: Add Variants to the Item

• Create variants by defining attribute options.

• The system provides default attributes:

  • Size

  • Flavor

  • Custom attribute

When selecting Custom attribute, you can enter a custom attribute name.

After creating attributes, define the variant options for each attribute.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

• Custom attributes are not saved to the default attribute list.

• You can assign one or multiple attributes to a single item.

• Prices can be set per variant.

  • Variant prices may be the same or different depending on the setup.
