This feature allows the restaurant to set up a promotion that gives one or more free items to customers.
To create a free item promotion, follow these steps:
Go to Promotions, tap the Add icon, and select Free Item.
In the Promotion tab, enter the required information for the promotion.
Notes:
The restaurant may set an effective time period for the promotion, or leave it with no time restriction.
If a time-of-day condition is set, the system uses the order creation time as the default reference when checking eligibility.
The restaurant can choose the promotion value type as either:
Percentage (%), or
Fixed amount
The promotion value is applied to all items selected in the promotion setup.
Set limits on how the promotion can be applied.
Select one or more of the following conditions:
Condition | Description |
Maximum number of invoices | The remaining number of uses is reduced each time the promotion is applied to an invoice (including canceled invoices). |
Maximum uses per customer | The allowed number of uses is reduced each time the promotion is applied to an invoice (including canceled invoices). |
Open the Application Conditions tab and select the conditions required for the promotion to take effect.
Enter the promotion conditions according to the restaurant’s promotional policy.
Automatic Application at Checkout can be enabled only if no application conditions are required (No condition required).
