Allow restaurants to quickly and easily import menu items, modifiers, and tax rates using a single Excel file.
On the Management page, go to Menu > POS Menu/QR Ordering.
Click Import, then click here to download the template file.
The Excel file contains 4 sheets:
Example – Provides instructions and sample data
Taxes – Used to define tax names and tax rates
Modifiers – Used to define modifier groups and modifier options
Menu – Used to define menu items
Before adding menu items, enter tax information in the Taxes sheet:
Enter the tax name and tax rate
Enter “x” in the Default column to set the tax as the default
Leave the column blank if the tax is not the default
In the Modifiers sheet:
Enter the modifier group name
Enter the modifier options within each group
Enter a price for the modifier if applicable
Enter “x” in:
Default if the modifier is commonly selected
Inactive if the modifier is no longer used
For sales channels, enter “x” only for channels where the item should NOT be sold.
In the Menu sheet:
Click the dropdown arrow to select the item type
Fill in the remaining item information
Notes:
You cannot manually type tax names or modifier group names in this sheet
To add new taxes or modifier groups:
First update the Taxes or Modifiers sheet
Then return to the Menu sheet to select them from the dropdown
After completing the Excel file:
Return to the Management page
Click Select to upload the completed file
Click Proceed to continue
On the Import results screen, the system displays:
Number of menu items imported successfully and unsuccessfully
Number of taxes imported successfully and unsuccessfully
Number of modifier groups imported successfully and unsuccessfully
