This feature allows restaurants to integrate botX POS with their own website or mobile application using Open API.
It enables external systems to access menu data and create orders based on configured permissions.
In the management portal, go to Integrations.
Click Details on Open API.
Click Add.
Enter the application name you want to connect.
Click Save to add the application.
When setting up Open API for the first time, the system will ask whether you want to configure menu access and permissions for the newly added application.
For existing applications, go to the application and click Menu & Access Settings.
Go to Menu → Items.
Click Add.
Select:
The top checkbox to select all items, or
Individual items you want to expose to the application.
Categories are automatically added.
You can edit the category name and description:
Click Edit
Update the information as needed
Modifiers are automatically added.
You can edit modifier details by clicking Edit.
Modifier options:
Multi-select: Set the minimum and maximum number of modifiers that can be selected
Required: Require this modifier when ordering the related item
Inactive: Mark modifiers that are not available
Click Save to apply the changes.
Go to the Settings tab.
Select General Settings.
Click Edit and configure access permissions as needed.
Save your changes.
Go to Business Hours.
Click Edit.
Set operating hours for the integrated application.
Use Quick Settings if the hours are the same for all days.
Click Save.
Go to Order Settings.
Click Edit.
Configure the following options:
Set average time for food preparation
Set the average preparation time for the kitchen/bar.
Default is 30 minutes, but you can adjust it as needed.
Automatically confirm orders
By default, all orders are automatically confirmed.
To disable auto-confirmation, uncheck this option.
To auto-confirm paid orders only, select Paid orders.
Automatically send the order to the kitchen
By default, orders are not sent automatically.
Enable this option and choose one of the following:
Right away when the order is confirmed
30 minutes (food preparation time) before the desired pickup time
Add a buffer time
Adds extra time on top of the default 30 minutes
Example: Entering 30 minutes sends the order to the kitchen 70 minutes before the desired pickup time
Click Save to apply the settings.
✔ After setup is complete, your restaurant’s website or app can securely interact with botX POS through Open API, using the menu, permissions, and order workflow you configured.
