This feature allows the restaurant owner or manager to change the serving staff (waiter/waitress) assigned to an order.
Option 1: Change from the order details screen
On the order details screen, click the Options icon and select Change waitstaff.
Click the Edit icon to select a new serving staff member.
Click Done to confirm.
Option 2: Quick change from the order list screen
On the order list screen, select the order that needs a staff change.
Click the Options icon and choose Change waiter.
Click the Edit icon to select the new serving staff member.
Click Done to confirm.
If Staff member A is currently viewing and editing an order (and the order has not yet been sent to the kitchen), and the manager successfully reassigns the order to Staff member B, then:
A notification will immediately appear on Staff A’s screen stating:
“Order 01 has been transferred to Staff member B. You no longer have permission for Order 01.”
Staff A must click Close to return to the main screen.
Any unsaved changes will be discarded automatically.
