This feature allows restaurant managers to require a manager passcode when employees attempt to access functions they are not authorized for, instead of forcing the manager to log out and log back in.
This setting applies to the following permission groups:
Orders (except Edit & Payment orders of other employees)
Payment
Reporting (except EOD reports and Closeout reports)
Orders Hub
Go to System settings → Role management.
Select the role you want to configure.
In the Orders tab, check Show unauthorized functions.
Repeat the same steps for the Payment, Reporting, and Orders Hub tabs if you want these permissions to require manager approval.
Click Save to apply the changes.
When a cashier attempts to perform an unauthorized action (for example, Cancel item after an order has already been sent to the kitchen), the system will display a manager passcode prompt.
The manager simply enters their passcode and chooses:
Yes, Cancel item to approve the action, or
No, Hold item to deny it.
This allows managers to approve restricted actions without logging out and logging back in.
