Some restaurants allow multiple employees to share the same device. If an employee forgets to log out after finishing their shift, the next employee may continue taking orders under the previous account. This can cause issues such as incorrect tip tracking.
To prevent this, managers can enable automatic logout after a period of inactivity.
On the POS, go to Settings.
In the General settings tab, locate Idle time.
Check Auto logout after inactivity.
Select the number of minutes the system should wait before automatically logging out when there is no activity.
If the device is inactive for the configured time:
A confirmation message will appear.
Select Yes to log out of the current account.
Select No to continue working without logging out.
