This feature allows managers to assign barcodes to menu items, print barcode labels, and let staff add items to orders by scanning barcodes. This helps speed up ordering and reduce mistakes.
On the management page, go to
System Settings → Location Settings
Open the Sales tab and click Edit
Turn on Manage menu by barcode
Click Save
Go to Menu → Menu Offline
Select an existing item
Either:
Enter a barcode manually, or
Click Auto-generate barcode
Click Save
Go to Menu → Menu Offline
Click Add → Regular Item
Fill in the item details
Either:
Enter a barcode manually, or
Click Auto-generate barcode
Click Save
On POS, go to Settings
Open the Printer & Template tab
Under Print & Barcode Label Ticket, select a printer
Click Custom Template
Adjust margins if needed
Choose which information should appear on the label
On POS, go to Barcode
Select the item(s) you want to print labels for
Click Apply quantity and enter how many labels you want for each item
Use the – or + buttons to change the quantity for individual items if needed
When taking an order, staff simply scan the item’s barcode.
The item will be added to the order automatically.
