Manual Entry
Import from an Excel File
This step-by-step guide helps restaurant managers set up their menu in botX POS using one of two methods: Manual Entry or Importing from an Excel file.

Step 1: Select the Menu button from the left hand navigation bar.
Step 2: Click Add item to add a regular item (you can also add item with variant or combo item with the drop down menu next to the add item button.)

To import your menu from an Excel file, follow these steps:
Step 1: After selecting Menu from the left navigation bar, select the 3 dot menu next to Add item. Then select Import
Step 2: Download the Excel template provided by the system.

Step 3: Copy your restaurant’s menu data into the downloaded Excel template.
Refer to the sample data sheet in the Excel file for guidance on how to enter menu information correctly.
Step 4: Save and close the Excel file.
Step 5: On the Getting Started interface, select Import from Excel.
Step 6: Upload the completed Excel file to the system.
Note:
If the Excel file contains menu items with item codes that already exist in the system, choose one of the following options:
Select Update to replace the existing item information with data from the Excel file.
Select Skip to keep the existing item information and ignore the duplicate item from the Excel file.
Step 7: Click Continue.
Step 8: Review the number of valid and invalid items eligible for import.
Step 9: Click Proceed. The system will import all valid items and display the import results.
Step 10: Click Close.
