Setting prices inclusive of tax

Set Up Tax-Inclusive Item Pricing

I. PURPOSE

Allows restaurant managers to configure item prices that already include tax.


II. INSTRUCTION STEPS

  1. On the Management Page, go to:
    System Settings > Location Settings

  2. In the Purchase / Sale tab, select Tax and click Edit

  3. Perform the following actions as needed:

    • Click the Delete icon to remove any tax rates that are not applicable

    • Click the Edit icon to modify an existing tax rate

    • Click Select applicable items to choose which items the tax applies to

      • By default, the tax is applied to all items

      • If certain items should not be taxed, select those items and click Remove

      • Click Save to confirm

  4. Enable Tax include

  5. Click Save to apply the changes


Result
Item prices will now be displayed and calculated as tax-inclusive, meaning the tax amount is already included in the listed price.
