Help staff record customers’ service preferences ie. Modifiers (e.g., less spicy, no onions, extra ice) so the kitchen/bar can prepare items correctly.
Requirement: The cashier/staff must be assigned the Menu Management role on botX POS.
When adding an item that has required modifiers on the Order Entry screen:
Select the item that has required modifiers.
Choose the service preferences requested by the customer.
Select the quantity of modifiers (if applicable).
Click Save.
Important notes:
❌ Required modifiers cannot be left blank
→ If none are selected, the system shows an error:
“<Modifier group name> is required.”
❌ Do not exceed the allowed quantity
→ If exceeded, the system shows an error:
“<Modifier group name> allows a maximum of X selections.”
Applicable only to items not yet sent to the kitchen/bar:
On the Order Entry screen, tap the item the customer wants to modify.
Select Service Preferences (Modifiers).
Choose the requested modifiers.
Click Save.
✅ Modifiers can be updated only for items that have not been sent to the kitchen/bar.
