Ordering items with variants

Variant Ordering


I. Purpose

Helps staff record menu items with variants (such as size, flavor, options, etc.) accurately in an order.


II. Instruction Steps

Step 1: Create the order

  1. Tap the item to add it to the order.

    • The item description will display available serving preferences/variants to help staff advise customers.

  2. Each tap equals one serving.

    • To add multiple servings quickly, tap the Quantity field in the order panel and enter the desired number.

  3. Select the required variants/options (size, flavor, etc.).

Important notes:

Quick item search (PLU):

Example:
Customer orders 2 Avocado Smoothies with item code 041
→ Enter: 2*041


Step 2: Send items to Kitchen/Bar

  1. Tap Fire to send the item(s) to the kitchen/bar.

  2. The scheduling window appears:

    • Select a preconfigured preparation time, or

    • Choose Custom to set a different preparation time.

    • Tap Fire now to send all servings immediately.

  3. Tap Save to confirm.

This ensures accurate preparation based on selected variants and smooth coordination between front-of-house and kitchen in botX POS.
