This feature allows staff to send each course (or individual item) of an order to the kitchen at different times, ensuring dishes are prepared and served at the correct time.
Go to System Settings → General Settings → Purchase/Sale.
In the General tab, click Edit and enable Allow scheduling kitchen firing by item.
The system provides two default preset times (e.g. After 20 minutes and After 10 minutes).
Managers can adjust these preset times as needed.
Click Save to apply the settings.
Note:
If the kitchen firing time is set to 0 minutes, no scheduled time will be shown on POS after saving.
After the feature is enabled:
Create a Dine-in order as usual.
Click Fire.
A kitchen scheduling popup appears, allowing staff to:
Select Fire now, or
Select one of the preset firing times.
If the item needs to be sent to the kitchen at a different time:
Select Custom.
Enter the number of minutes before sending to the kitchen.
Click Done.
Allowed input: greater than 0 and up to 999 minutes.
For items that should not be sent to the kitchen yet, select Hold.
Click Save to confirm and send items according to the selected timing.
For items that have not yet been sent to the kitchen, staff can:
Add modifiers (special requests),
Cancel items.
Items marked Fire now:
Kitchen tickets are printed immediately.
Items appear in the Current tab on KDS.
Items with a scheduled time:
The system counts down automatically.
When the timer reaches 0, the kitchen ticket prints automatically.
Items already scheduled but not yet prepared:
Staff can select Fire now to send them immediately.
Items on Hold:
Can be scheduled later or sent immediately with Fire now.
When changing an order from Dine-in to To-go or Delivery:
Items with different scheduled times are merged into a single kitchen ticket.
When combining orders, changing tables, or similar actions:
Only items already sent to the kitchen are updated immediately.
Items that are sent later will reflect the new table or order information when they are fired.
