The restaurant numbers dishes using numeric codes — how can orders be recorded quickly on the POS system?

How to Quickly Take Orders Using Numeric Item Codes (PLU)

Because menu item names in restaurants are often long and hard to remember, customers may place orders by item codes (numeric codes) instead. To quickly record these orders on the system, follow the steps below:

  1. On the Order Taking screen, enable the Numeric Keyboard – PLU function.

  2. Enter items using the following format:

Quantity × Item Code

Example:
If a customer orders 2 plates of Fried Tofu with item code 057, enter:
2 × 057

This allows the system to quickly add the correct item and quantity to the order.
