What to Do When the PAX Terminal Cannot Connect

If the card terminal cannot connect, first check the network connection and try reconnecting the PAX device.

If the PAX Terminal Is Connected but Payments Cannot Be Processed

Please check the following:

  1. Network

    • Are the POS system and the PAX terminal connected to the same network/subnet?

  2. POS Device Status

    • Is the POS computer or cash register powered on and running?

  3. PAX Terminal Settings

    • Is the PAX terminal set to External Mode?

    • Is the connection type set to TCP/IP?


Still Not Working?

If all the above settings are correct and the PAX terminal still does not work, please contact Support for assistance.
